It is with great sadness that I have made the decision to temporarily close the Dilshad until the coronavirus pandemic is dealt with. The restaurant closed on Friday but our takeaway service is also closed now.
I feel quite emotional writing this to you as it will be the first time the Dilshad has closed for a period of time since we first opened in 1979. But I have to put the health of my staff and customers first and this is why with a heavy heart we are temporarily closing.
I think the world of all of my customers and class you all as friends. I hope this will be dealt with as quickly as possible so the Dilshad can reopen and i can see you all again. In the meantime please stay safe.
The Dilshad in Cannock, Staffordshire, is not just your usual high street curry house – the head chef has put together an extensive menu which is full of excitement and offers a plethora of choice with mouth-watering Indian cuisines separated into regions and types. All the staff members are very pleasant with excellent knowledge of Eastern Asian Cuisines and are always ever quick to offer their services.
“We emphasise on the quality of our food and service, so if you find that your order takes a bit longer than average, please be patient because our Chefs thrive on making sure that you are served only the best tasting dishes”
The Dilshad has been highly commended in a prestigious competition which searches for the very best in South Asian cuisine across the UK.
Dilshad Owner Tony Uddin travelled to the Houses of Parliament to pick up an award after taking part in the Tiffin Cup. Cannock Chase MP Amanda Milling had entered the Dilshad into the competition following a recent visit and was so impressed by our culinary excellence and service she nominated us.
Tony said, “It is a fantastic achievement to be highly commended in the Tiffin Cup competition and I am very proud and honoured to receive the special commendation award”
It is with great regret that we have made the decision to cancel the quiz night scheduled for March 30. This follows government advice with regards to the current coronavirus pandemic. Our restaurant remains open at this time and we will continue to offer our takeaway service.I would like to wish our customers the very best at this difficult time and urge everyone to please stay safe.
